Here comes Satan Claus

You can truly say about the Christian life that it is indeed a wonderful life.

Jesus said that He came to give us life and life more abundantly.  Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.  Jesus is God, the All knowing,  all powerful creator who made the sun out of nothing.  He is King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and His name shall be called wonderful, Counselor, All Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.  He is the alpha and omega, the lilly of the valley, the bright and morning star, and the fairest of 10,000 to my soul.  He is who died for us, and He is who was born in a stable.  Author Max Lucado said “the hand that held the universe took the nail of a soldier.  Why?  Because that is what love does.”  Jesus was born to die, and the bible says that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

Jesus is GOD.  The bible says God created all things by Jesus Christ.  God became flesh and dwelt among us.  God with us.

Jesus is so amazing, so divine, we sing, that He demands my life, soul, my all.

Why do so few findeth the way that leadeth unto life?  How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?

Santa just may hold the answer.   This world is not my home, but Santa is really the devil in disguise.  The devil is the god of this world.  The god of this world appeals to our sinful natural desires and offers us the desires of our hearts.  Santa / Satan offer you everything you think you want.

Jesus offers what you truly need.  And after Jesus takes over, He rewires your heart so that more and more of your wants are really what He wants for you anyway.  Instead of the devil’s desires that lead to your demise and destruction.

Jesus knows our hearts are desperately wicked and deceitful, so we must first come to Him for a new heart.  Jesus gives us new desires and new direction and a new destiny.  Delight thyself also in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart says the book of Proverbs.  How it works is we first come to Jesus, and he takes our stony hearts that only care about ourselves, and puts in his heart that cares about pleasing God.  God then uses the talents and treasures He already gave us, orchestrates events to mold us and make us usable, and then puts desires in our hearts that coordinate with the will of the Master of the Universe.  His desires become our desires.   And we not only get into position to please God but soon find there is nothing more fulfilling than finding the life we were designed for.

You can take an octopus and put him in a desert and he is miserable.  He likely won’t make it very long either.  He was designed to live in the ocean.  God designed us to worship Him.  It is amazing how religions often appeal even in the afterlife to our flesh and selfish nature.  Or appeal to our pride.  If heaven really was about good works, we could brag for all eternity how deserving we would be.  Who would want to forever listen to the boasting of man?  I can’t stand listening for more than 30 seconds the pride and ego’s on display at a press conference by the Winning team coach.  Who wants an eternity like that?

I do not get to look forward to being reincarnated as that octopus.  I won’t get to experience uncountable years in purgatory hoping that enough masses were said on my behalf.

I won’t get to own my own planet nor getting to experience endless sensual pleasures for getting blown up for Allah.

“I’m only going to live as long as God lives, only going to never, never die.   Only going to sing his endless praises, glory by and by.  Only going to walk on streets of gold, only see the half that’s never been told, I’m only going to live as long as God lives,

only going to never, never die.”

Don’t let fear cause you to run FROM God.  Run to God instead.   Behind the Santa mask is the devil himself.  A stranger won’t offer poison to a child he wants to kidnap, but candy.  That is what the devil does.  Offers candy, and you fall for it every time.  Because in your heart you hear, “Come on, you know you want some.  It is very tasty! You can trust him, look how jolly he is!”

What you need to understand is the devil is the very one pulling on your heart to get him to trust him!

Got it?  When you truly get ahold of God, you will!

And there you will find the wonderful life.  Please know you can trust Jesus Christ.  He did everything necessary to prove you can.  God won’t let you down.  And if you don’t get saved, you will follow the devil right off the cliff and won’t know he had been laughing at you the entire time you were following him.   In whatever angel of light costume it took to steal your soul.  Even jolly ‘ol St. Nick.
