Christ died for the church.
Acts 20:28 says Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
The church is made up of people and that is the greatest thing about it yet the hardest thing. But we need to act consistent to the church as we do toward everything else. I find hypocrites at tim hortons yet i still go there for coffee. I was offended that walmart yet again ran out of my son’s almond milk. yet I still shop there.
Church is made up of people and they will rub us the wrong way, but I will rub them wrong too. Proverbs 27:17 says Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Sharpening is by no means a painless process. but when we are at church we get an opportunity to over and over and over again see the beams in our own eyes and we can get our hearts right over and over and over, or we can move on to the next church and start all over again. Luke 6:41 and 42 says And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.
I encourage anyone to join a church most loyal to the bible and stay there until God moves you along. I didn’t always see the importance of church but God uses it over and over to keep me right with him and keep my attitude right and renew my heart afresh.
When my heart is right, God has it, and when he has my heart he has me. And when he has me he has my family.
Psalms 27:4 says One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
