Thoughts on the NFL from the N.ational B.ible A.ssociation (NBA)

Since everyone is talking about sports these days…..

Here are some good spiritual applications about sports.

1) You don’t choose the Devil’s team- you are born on it. That is why Jesus said YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN. it ‘s not an option. you must get “TRADED” to God’s team — and you must choose to get traded as God won’t violate your free will.

2) The distance the Bills lost Superbowl XXV in 1990 was just a matter of inches. It was the difference between winning and losing. The distance from the head to the heart is also a matter of inches.

Many folks believe in their head the things about God. The bible says Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Saved people go to heaven.
Lost people go to hell.

However the Bible says the devils believe and tremble.

To be truly saved, it must get into the heart. True belief will change how you live.

The distance from heaven or hell to many is also going to come down to a matter of inches.

3)
You can know all about Jim Kelly or Tom Brady. You can know their stats and know how skilled they are. You can be impressed with what they did and tell others about them.

But if you ran into them on the street, do they know YOU? Would they recognize you out of a crowd? Would they know your name if you asked for an autograph?

God “knows” everyone. But He also KNOWS who is SAVED and WHO is LOST.

You can say all you want I know God but what is GOD going to say on Judgment Day to you? Are you sure you are on the Lord’s TEAM?
Matthew 7:21-23King James Version (KJV)

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
