Who’s on first?

Not trying to be insensitive here, but CNN has been televising the funeral for Justice Scalia. From what I can tell, here was an honest man, a good man, and a moral man.

However, my heart is grieved because he may not have been a saved man. If his trust was in the church’s traditions and teachings, sadly that will not be enough to enter heaven. There is no purgatory so this means hell.

A little girl once looked at a sheep standing in a meadow. She was amazed at how clean the sheep was. Then it started to snow. An hour later she looked at the sheep against the newly fallen snow and was amazed how dirty the sheep was.

That is the difference. When we face the Holy Perfect Lord and Judge of the Universe none of us can brag about our morality or righteousness. Not one who gave every penny to the poor. Not a Mother Theresa or someone who threw himself in front of an oncoming car to save a young child.

That is the tragedy of something like Catholicism. Baptism does not save, yet the church externally baptizes you and by-passes your free will. When you die you are already locked into heaven or hell yet these religions all have the Priests performing after death prayers and making after death promises that simply are not true.

One can be sincere, but if they never were saved God’s way, they are sincerely wrong.

My authority is God’s word. God cannot lie. Ye must be born again. If life was a baseball game, Who’s on first? Jesus is who.

Religion skips first and has you focus on the WHAT. What is on 2nd and the What is good works, church member ship, baptism, etc.

The right order is the bible order.

Skip first, you don’t go home.

No matter how hard or fast you run.
