Well Fed = Well Done

I think a good balance feeds the flock. You need a good diet of expository preaching, especially from the Pauline Epistles (Ex Ephesians, Romans, etc) where a Pastor digests a chapter and defines words, etc verse by verse. This might be the meat and potatoes. You need a Pastor who can cross-reference words as the KJV bible is alive. This might be more water, refreshing and satisfying. It gives us faith in his word and shows that this is a living book. By the way, when you use other versions, cross-referencing and “nuggets in the English” completely break down. For example, “6” is the number of a man. (made on Day 6, buried 6 feet under, etc). the book of Romans is 6 letters long, and has the word MAN right in it. Guess what the 6th word of the 6th chapter of the 6th verse is? Yes, MAN. Then you need a preacher who has illustrations and makes alive Bible characters and heroes of the faith so we can be stirred up to think, “if they can do it by God’s grace, I can do it!” That might be the dessert. If you get a good diet of all of them, and GIVE OUT WHAT YOU GET, you will be well fed, and will likely one day hear, WELL DONE.
