Since “you” already have me pegged as crazy I thought I would offer my 2 cents.
True Christians believed in “soul liberty”. That was the foundation for “life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness”. We are secure in what we believe, and you are all welcome to partake.
Jesus said, He that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out. You don’t have to go to hell, but it is your decision. I might preach strong convicting messages, but I won’t cut your head off if you don’t agree, I won’t try and unfriend you for your opinions, and I want to convert you to the truth even though “you” tend to hate me for it and think I have lost it.
Question — why do you believe what you believe? How do you know it is true? Because “everyone” believes it? Do you know the majority have never been right?
That brings us to this Southern flag nonsense. Recently it is now a sign of “hate” if you have a Southern flag.
I live in NY but the south was right. You will flip out at me because you are trained that the CIVIL War was about slaves and you will automatically say i must be racist. The Civil War was not about slavery. Northern UNION Hero Ulysses S. Grant owned slaves!
The Civil War was about states rights. We argue if prayer should be allowed in public schools. Public schools should not even exist. The states were supposed to be allowed to be free to decide what was taught.
Our country used to be a republic “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the UNITED states of America to the REPUBLIC…” NOT A DEMOCRACY.
What is the difference?
I can’t give it perfect justice, but a republic is set up to enforce soul liberty and is based on the unchanging CONSTITUTION. There were absolutes, there was a final authority, there was clear right and wrong.
Now we are a democracy. The rights of the people. (Hmm see the book of Revelation how well that goes). The MAJORITY RULE and whatever they want is what is accepted, and this means the “minority” are not welcomed.
And the majority are NOT RIGHT. Few have the courage to stand for truth, and a Democracy creates a system that TRUTH is eliminated at the expense of the downward spiral by man’s continual thirst for lust and greed and sin.
Wide is the path that leaded to destruction, and that is where AND WHY America is destroying herself. From within.
