This might be related to the whole Ms. Bruschetta (aka Bruce) tale of confusion.

Today everyone wants to change who they are, change how they die, change who they can marry, change when life begins, redefine a baby into some non-living group of tissues, and change their moods with mind-altering and mind numbing substances.

YET CHANGE is what God demands, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN. Yet, people reject that because they want change on their terms. Accept who you are. A sinner. Accept you cannot change yourself. No miracle surgery, no miracle pill, no miracle law can CHANGE YOU. But the one who made you is more than able. To give you a new direction, a new identity, new desires, and a NEW DESTINY.

Come to Him. Jesus.
