Many people are confusing Bruce Banner and Bruce Jenner. One through exposure to a bunch of chemicals and a mutant transformation turned into this very scary and rather hideous monster.
The other is the Hulk.
I don’t think i am being mean here for those who think we are being hard on “Brucey”. Here is why.
First, in his/her defense, Bruce likely has had a very sad life story and likely experienced something horrible earlier in life, such as sexual abuse, etc that led him down this path. In that regard we should be compassionate and praying and broken over his embracing such a twisted decision. He was right in regards of likely knowing something was missing. He could have been right to say, “I feel I born this way” and trapped with no way out.
However, his ‘right observations’ about himself led to wrong conclusions. Had he consulted the God of the Bible instead of the lies of the devil, he might have been delivered from the torment he felt. Sadly, though the truth today falls on deaf ears. The truth is often cast aside by the louder, bolder lies of the world. And what is the saddest thing of all is that had Bruce went to the church for help, he likely would have ended up making the same decision, as most of the churches in America would have had wrong information for him anyway.
The devil has his hand over most of what comes out as “truth” from most churches, the majority of PhD Counselors, Psychiatrists, and even the medical community. Today you can realize you have a problem and need help and the odds are very likely you will get counsel from “an angel of light” who smiles and has great bedside manner. The problem is the bible says in 2nd Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. And if the person is a “man of faith” he likely is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. They are liars and are often deluded themselves.
The devil is the very father of lies and the reason someone can go down such a sad and destructive path is the person believes the lies, the counsel he gets from those that do not know the truth feeds the lies, and those with “Truth” are censored and ridiculed. Evil has become good and good evil.
Jesus offers spiritual surgery. The bible says in Colossians 2: 11-12, In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. Colossians 2:10 says And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 2nd Corinthians 5:17 says Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Bruce thought the surgery of men made him a new creature. It didn’t. Deep down, he is the same old Bruce and years from now that will be a sad and tragic discovery. Bruce either rejected or neglected the “surgery of God” and that would have made him a new creature. Born again.
Jesus was kind to the individual sinners but he also rebuked the false prophets and false teachers BEFORE ALL SO OTHERS MAY FEAR and so OTHERS WOULD NOT make the same Hell-damning mistakes. Jesus was not just picking on the pharisees or being mean. When Bruce dragged his story into the media world he now is an “authority” for kids who are fed gender identity lies from the pit of hell. He is telling the world that the lies he embraced are the truth. Not only for him, but for everyone else looking for “truth”. This is why Bruce is now a menace to society and needs to be exposed. Bruce can’t see the truth and everyone he impacts with his story embrace the lies he is believing for themselves. And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? (Luke 6:39)
He now is a false teacher and a false “prophet” and needs to be shamed and needs to be silenced. He went from a confused and sad individual to now being an enemy of God because now he is leading others in confusion right down the same path. And he is proud of it as well. He should be ashamed, he should go back in the closet, and Christians are correct to boldly be proclaiming that what he is doing is WRONG!!!! There is a “GAY PRIDE” parade on Sunday in Buffalo and sadly many churches will be in the parade SUPPORTING it.
We are not hateful who preach or have preached there. When sin is out in the open and the ways of God are openly mocked, and the “lost” stand there and shake their fists at God and tell Him he has no right to judge them —and they attack anyone for trying to share truth in LOVE — the TRUTH needs to be lifted up. God is a God of love but God is a GOD OF WRATH. He hates certain things and the bible says in Psalm 7:11 that God judgeth the righteous, and GOD IS ANGRY WITH THE WICKED EVERY DAY. The bible also says that it is a FEARFUL THING TO FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE LIVING GOD and knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.
Be warned America– most of the churches today think the preachers who preach JUDGMENT preach hate, but they are WARNING THESE FOLKS THAT GOD IS AGAINST THEM WHEN THEY STAND IN OPEN REBELLION TO A HOLY GOD AND DEMAND THAT EVERYONE EMBRACE THEIR LIFESTYLE.
Bruce is not a hero, he is confused and he is a pervert and he is now a false teacher.
Likewise, those marching in the parade on Sunday are a disgrace to God and shame on the CHURCHES WHO PROUDLY MARCH WITH THEM! This is not about being mean, this is about a country headed for destruction and even most of the churches of America refuse to look to a HOLY GOD for truth.
Instead they mock God and embrace all the lies of Hollywood and the Media. The blind leading the blind that shall both fall into the pit. Of hellfire.
The rest of this post is a rebuke and exhortation for the Christian. Bible believing Christian, do you honestly think you can please God embracing the same junk and sources of lies that the lost and the false churches get their truth from? We just might be able to make a difference in this world for the glory of God if we let the Bible conform our thinking instead of the media. “We” claim we know the truth but we are just as addicted to the ways of the world as they are. And we are starting to embrace a lot of the same liberal thinking and liberal justifying and liberal arguments as “them”. We are lukewarm compromisers. Jesus asked, when the Son of Man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Or will he find us stuck in front of a TV, or surfing filth on the internet, or wasting time posting cute pictures of kittens up on Facebook?
This is not an option but a Bible command. The verses of Romans 12:1-2 are not mere suggestions or just to put on a bumper sticker. All scripture is profitable for doctrine. We hyper-dispensationalize the bible and “wrongly divide” the bible to the point we obey nothing, but even if that is your doctrine, Romans is Pauline epistles for church matters of faith and practice, and yet “we American Christians” still defend our love of the world. Verse 2 says And be ye not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, Christian. The Bible says LOVE NOT THE WORLD, neither the things that are in the world. Friendship with the world means you are an enemy of God says James. Set your affections on things above says Colossians 3. And God does not mean by that to gaze with awe high above at the Jumbotron.
“I have liberty!” says the modern Christian. We need to define our Liberty by the Bible not by Christian television, Kingdom Bound, or Rick Warren. 1st Peter 2:16 says As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Galatians 5:13 says For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Jesus asks, Why call Ye Me, Lord, Lord and do not the things that I say? Today instead of running from the world as much as we can, we want to defend it. “Preacher, Hollywood isn’t the world, TV isn’t the world, Facebook isn’t the world!” says the average Christian today. And the lost go unwarned, uncared for, unpreached to, and are never or rarely exposed to the right dose of the truth. We sing in church, O how I love Jesus! but our actions say, “O How I love PRO SPORTS,” or whatever American Idols we bow down to.
First, Christians need to have their minds transformed. And then, just maybe the ‘Bruces’ of this world would know where to get the right kind of transformation.
