John 15:5 for without me ye can do nothing
The Lord gave me a bit of a song I was singing last night…
I need Jesus, Oh I need Jesus
Especially those times I think that I don’t
I need Jesus, Oh I need Jesus
I need Jesus when HE will, but I won’t
I need Him for times of trials and strife,
I need Him as I don’t want to fake it in life.
I need His hand every step of the way
Though there are times I forsake Him
and times I don’t thank Him and times I disobey Him
I know, that I know that I need Jesus,
more and more each day.
When I offer tracts, often times men refuse salvation saying, “I’m all set.” My fear in the American church is, how often is that our response to depending on the Lord for anything and everything? We too can say, I’m all set.
I heard the story of what a Chinese Christian said when he got back to China. “What impressed you most about America?” he was asked. He said, “The great things Americans can accomplish without God.” Yes, if you’re not saved, you’re not set. However, until we are sanctified completely, we are not set either. Fasting, trials, and temptations will often reveal that need. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures, for His names sake. Oh, friend, do you see, that you too need Jesus? And how much more after we are saved.
