My biggest suggestion with any truth you are searching for is take the Bible at it’s promises. God says Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find.
A lot of big heavy truths, I was on the fence or undecided and I sincerely prayed for wisdom and discernment and for God to show me the truth.
For example, for some reason, despite 200 verses about the FIXED not-moving earth, 50-75 verses on the SUN moving and ZERO verses on the EARTH moving – this topic is a source of ridicule and mockery where even missionaries I preached across the world with have responded with mocking and unfriending me.
I read a lot of verses on Flat Earth but when I was just reading my regular bible devotions, and it was Christmas time so I was in the gospels, and God illuminated this verse for me- in
Matthew 2 9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
It dawned on me that it really didn’t make sense that God could make a star stand still if the earth was spinning and hurtling like they taught us.
That moment the light went on and I knew that I knew that I knew. All the evidence after was the icing on the cake. So that is my recommendation — be open, be searching, and wait for GOD to make it real.
That is when it becomes a conviction that can’t be bought, bribed, etc out of you.
Proverbs 25:2 says
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”
Proverbs 18:13
He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
Only by pride cometh contention. I have a conviction in this that cannot be shaken. That is from GOD. If you are that secure the bible teaches a spinning hurtling globe, why do you get so DEFENSIVE?????
