If you are on the fence when it comes to whether the Bible is real or not, you might want to listen to my message this morning that the Lord put on my heart.
You can do whatever you want when it comes to your life, BUT there are consequences for our choices. Think of it this way — living life on “your terms” is never going to satisfy anyway. We don’t like to admit that, but honestly, if you ever got to be one of those guys who could completely climb the ladder to success, you would finally get to the top — only to discover it was facing the wrong wall.
And what is “natural” is our sinful nature — to give into those desires– only is like pouring gasoline on the fire. You will spend your whole life trying to quench a thirst you can’t fill. Instead, simply admit and see your ways don’t line up with God’s standards — and come to JESUS for grace, mercy and forgiveness, and He will set you free from that bondage.
The Bible says the way of transgressors is hard. You are trying, from what you wrote, perhaps, to live in a way that goes against your conscious but goes WITH your sinful nature. That won’t satisfy, and the consequences for that life is eternity in hell. Jesus came to earth –the CREATOR — to DIE for YOU, and set you free, and pay your penalty, and give you a new heart with new desires — and when you yield to JESUS your conscious will line up with your (new) desires.
When you are living that sort of life, that is when there is complete peace, and joy, no matter what life throws at you. Jesus is THE WAY, and God’s WAY is the ONLY way that works.
