Yesterday I was driving home late at night.\u00a0 The roads weren’t terrible, but there are wintery conditions on the road.<\/p>\n
When I was about 15 minutes from home, there was a car that pulled out behind me.\u00a0 I immediately noticed their headlights were out.\u00a0 A half mile passed and still no lights.\u00a0 It really didn’t effect me, but I had a concern for the other driver.<\/p>\n
I needed to get his attention.\u00a0 But how?<\/p>\n
I started pumping my brakes.\u00a0 He might have thought I was a jerk.\u00a0 I stuck my hand out the window and furiously pumped my hand backwards at his headlights.\u00a0 He might have thought I lost my mind.<\/p>\n
If he didn’t catch on soon, I likely would have given up the effort!<\/p>\n
Eventually he figured out what I was trying to do.\u00a0 The lights went on.\u00a0 I stuck my arm out with a thumbs up sign.<\/p>\n
Later, God showed me that is a lot what we are trying to\u00a0do with reaching the lost with the gospel of salvation.<\/p>\n
We are simply concerned for their souls.\u00a0 Our motives get confused.\u00a0 Our message gets distorted.\u00a0 And in our day and age, if people don’t get what we are trying to convey, we give up.\u00a0 They think we are strange, but only because they can’t see their headlights are out.<\/p>\n
2Corinthians 4:4 says In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.<\/em><\/p>\n We are still to warn.\u00a0 Not because we are jerks.\u00a0 But because we care.\u00a0 God turned our light on in our souls and now we can see the light is out on the men coming fast behind us.<\/p>\n Ezekiel 3:17-18,20 says \u00a0Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.<\/em> Don’t give up, Christian.\u00a0 Just realize they might not see what we are trying to do.\u00a0 Let Jesus show them they need the light turned on.\u00a0 Our job is merely\u00a0to point them to Jesus.\u00a0 Even though they might not understand what we are doing.<\/p>\n Colossians 1:28 says Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Yesterday I was driving home late at night.\u00a0 The roads weren’t terrible, but there are wintery conditions on the road.
