<\/del>The Bible gives an apparent contradiction in 2 back-to-back Proverbs.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 26:4 says to Answer not<\/strong> a fool<\/em><\/span> according to his folly<\/strong>, lest thou also be like unto him.<\/p>\n

Yet Proverbs 26:5 says Answer a fool<\/em> <\/span>according to his folly<\/strong>, lest he be wise in his own conceit.<\/p>\n

So do we answer?\u00a0 Or don’t we?<\/p>\n

The answer is yes.<\/p>\n

The Bible is a living book.\u00a0\u00a0 This verse proves I think that you need to be walking with God and close to God if you ever desire to impact this world.\u00a0 The Bible has all the answers for life, but when to apply which verse to which situation, and how to apply it, and when to answer and when not to answer, means we need the author right by our side.<\/p>\n

That is a good reminder to the church today.\u00a0 Often we think if we just give someone “truth” that should be enough.\u00a0 “I gave them an answer right from the Book!\u00a0 What more do they need?”\u00a0 And we wonder why the church is going in a direction opposite from the direction the Bible seems to point us toward.<\/p>\n

We the church are full of head knowledge, but I think for the most part we are clueless on how to apply it.<\/p>\n

We think we have the answers.<\/p>\n

Answer or answer not?\u00a0\u00a0 We might have the answer, but we need the discernment and wisdom as well.<\/p>\n
