Today is the 4th of July.\u00a0 Most Americans today associate this holiday with food, fun, and fireworks.<\/p>\n
In reality, according to John Adams, US President, “The 4th of July ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.”<\/p>\n
Sadly, today in America we would rather listen to that\u00a0US Beer maker, Sam Adams instead.<\/p>\n
I saw some frightening statistics on our history.\u00a0 \u00a0I saw one article that said 1 in 4 Americans do not know who we fought in the Revolutionary War.\u00a0 Some said Mexico, some said Canada.\u00a0 I am sure some believe that George Washington Carver crossed Delaware Avenue and went across Niagara Falls (via tightrope) to fight those Canadians, eh!<\/p>\n
A Newsweek study of 1,000 US Citizens said 29% could not name the vice president (though I messed it up too, I thought it was Michelle Obama), 73% didn’t know why we fought the Civil War, and 6% could not circle Independence Day on a Calendar.\u00a0 What would be truly sad is probably if we had them find the 4th of July instead, some would still miss the mark!<\/p>\n
And what is even sadder is these are our tax dollars going to train the next generation.<\/p>\n
If a country forgets how they began, they won’t remember where they are going.\u00a0 There are many purposes to my blog, but bottom line is I just want to give truth.\u00a0 Not sugar coat it, not shove it down anyone’s throat, not scream it out, but not be silent with it either.\u00a0 Facts are a stubborn thing, but everything I state you can find for yourself.<\/p>\n
Our country was not only founded for God but it was founded on the God of the Bible.<\/p>\n
It was founded on the Bible.\u00a0 The majority of homes in America revolved around God’s Word, the KJV.\u00a0 And we traded it for NBC, ABC, and HBO.<\/p>\n
It should be painfully obvious America is in trouble and the only hope it has is to go back to what made her one nation under God.\u00a0 A nation under God is a nation restrained from it’s ungodly passions from within.\u00a0 God moves into the Christian and controls him from the things that will destroy us.\u00a0 Sin does not satisfy and sin puts in bondage.\u00a0 Christianity gets us out of the sinning business and it also deters the heathen from spiraling out of control, as well.\u00a0 If you were invited to a ladies tea at 10 am, you would act different than if you were invited to Happy Hour.\u00a0 You drive differently when you see someone getting pulled over.\u00a0 Our country was founded on God’s law, and the saved loved God’s law because it gets in your heart when you are saved and love the Bible.\u00a0 If you love God’s law you will proclaim it to a lost and dying world.\u00a0 The law will convict and draw people to want to be saved.\u00a0 What we love becomes obvious to the world around us.\u00a0 When we were in love with God’s law and his words, the world was a better place.<\/p>\n
A thief won’t seek a policeman, and the perverts and politicians in our country are running from God faster than a freight train.\u00a0 And are trying to silence anyone who is trying to stop them.\u00a0 The Christians used to fight but we are so divided and watered down we don’t know who the enemy is nor how to fight them.\u00a0\u00a0 The Bible says the Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God.\u00a0 With the Bible version of the month club, most Christians don’t even know what God’s word is so our gospel guns are often firing blanks!<\/p>\n
But we need to turn the tide and this Independence Day get back to our dependence on God.\u00a0 And his word.<\/p>\n
I saw a quote that by 2020, it will take 19% of the REST OF THE WORLD’S GDP just to finance our debt.\u00a0 Suicides are on the rise.\u00a0 You don’t have to be a meteorologist to see our weather is getting more unpredictable.\u00a0 Families are falling apart. Abortion and same sex marriages are the right of the left.\u00a0 Our country had dedicated founding Fathers and now in the average home, the father cannot be found.\u00a0 Rosie O’Donnel and that crowd think it doesn’t matter who raises your kids.\u00a0\u00a0 Statistics and the Bible prove otherwise.\u00a0 Children need a MOM and a DAD.\u00a0 Children from single parent homes\u00a0provide\u00a071% of all\u00a0chemical substance abuse, 80% of prison inmates, \u00a090% of \u00a0homeless and runaway children, 63% of\u00a0suicides, and 70% of all teen pregnancies.<\/p>\n
If we are more concerned with tolerating those who hate God and silencing those who want to take a stand FOR GOD, America might not\u00a0see it’s next birthday.<\/p>\n
Patrick Henry is quoted as having said “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great Nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”<\/p>\n
John Adams, US President said, “The Christian religion is above, all the religions.”<\/p>\n
George Washington is quoted as having said, “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.” and “true religion affords to government it’s surest support.”<\/p>\n
The US Congress in 1782 said “The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools.”<\/p>\n
America, we’ve come a long way, baby.\u00a0 And it is not a good way.<\/p>\n
The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that FORGET God<\/em>, warns the Bible.<\/p>\n John Adams said “The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity.\u00a0 I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”\u00a0 “The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: It connected, in one indissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.”<\/p>\n America! America! God shed his grace on thee.\u00a0 God mend thine ev’ry flaw.\u00a0 May God thy gold refine.\u00a0 God shed his grace on thee.<\/p>\n My country, ’tis of thee, sweet land of liberty! Of thee I sing!<\/p>\n Look at verse 4! Our fathers God, to thee, Author of liberty, to Thee we sing: Long may our land be bright With freedom’s HOLY LIGHT; Protect us by Thy might, Great God, our King!<\/p>\n Contrary to public opinion, the 2nd verse of the Star Spangled banner is not “Take me out to the ball game.”<\/p>\n It ends with Praise the pow’r that hath made and preserved us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just; And this be our motto, “In God is our trust!”\u00a0 And the star spangled banner in triumph shall wave, O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!<\/p>\n Our new motto is Play Ball!<\/p>\n Do you see a different America than the one painted by our schools and media today?<\/p>\n They paint America’s beginning as it is today.\u00a0 They look at today to define the past, instead of looking back and learning.\u00a0 What made America what it was, and even still what is, and what made America blessed compared to the other countries around the world is God.\u00a0 No apologies needed.\u00a0 And not the false gods of religion, not the any god goes philosophy, not the any way will do thinking.<\/p>\n A preacher said that America was founded for GOD.\u00a0 South America was founded for GOLD.\u00a0 That is why you only have in South America corruption, false religion, and poverty.\u00a0 America did not have as many natural resources as South America, yet it had the supernatural blessings of doing things God’s way.<\/p>\n Do we see yet the curse now that we are doing it our way?<\/p>\n America’s founders were not always born again, blood bought, Christians.\u00a0 Yet even so-called deists like Thomas Jefferson respected Christianity and recognized the God of Heaven’s right to govern our nation.\u00a0 He wrote a letter that the liberals have stolen out of context to define separation of church and state.\u00a0 His letter was to assure the churches that government would not interfere with the church.\u00a0 It was expected that the church would influence the government!\u00a0 And it was welcomed!<\/p>\n See www.Wallbuilders.com<\/a> if you want more info on the faith and foundation of our founding Fathers.<\/p>\n If you want good books to give you more info, I recommend books by James Beller and Dr. William P.
