{"id":131,"date":"2013-07-02T07:48:52","date_gmt":"2013-07-02T10:48:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/etvfc.org\/wp-blog\/?p=131"},"modified":"2013-07-02T07:54:56","modified_gmt":"2013-07-02T10:54:56","slug":"pizzas-demand-a-pizza-maker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/etvfc.org\/wp-blog\/2013\/07\/pizzas-demand-a-pizza-maker\/","title":{"rendered":"Pizzas Demand a Pizza Maker."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am not trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to evangelism.<\/p>\n<p>But speaking of wheels, when you look at a wheel, how do you know there was a wheel maker?<\/p>\n<p>Wheels demand a wheel maker.<\/p>\n<p>Wheels have order and design.\u00a0 Order demands an orderer.\u00a0\u00a0 Design demands a designer.<\/p>\n<p>Nature screams out, THERE IS A CREATOR!<\/p>\n<p>Where faith kicks in,\u00a0 is then finding out WHO that creator is.<\/p>\n<p>The Bible says, <em>For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and God-head; so that they are without excuse.\u00a0<\/em> (Romans 1:20).<\/p>\n<p>Often when\u00a0my family\u00a0goes through the drive through, we will park outside the restaurant and eat our food.\u00a0 We had gone through a Wendy&#8217;s recently\u00a0and when we unpacked the order, we realized that there were several problems with it.\u00a0 My son wants plain hamburgers and this had ketchup and mustard on it and my wife&#8217;s chicken club sandwich had no bacon on it, for example.\u00a0 It\u00a0is those opportunities that actually provide great witnessing encounters.<\/p>\n<p>Why?\u00a0 They are humbled a bit and they see their humanity.<\/p>\n<p>That is why there is an eraser on a pencil.\u00a0\u00a0 These blog posts would be very interesting if I didn&#8217;t have a delete button.\u00a0 Or spell checker.\u00a0\u00a0 You l;;las;ldj might not know wha;t I was writing if I coul;dnt fix my mistakes!<\/p>\n<p>There are things that make witnessing more effective.\u00a0 \u00a0I like icebreakers when I witness.\u00a0 I find the hardest thing in\u00a0witnessing is getting started.\u00a0 When I jump in, then I see the water is fine.\u00a0 When I ask questions, such as &#8220;Did you go to church when you were younger?\u00a0 What\u00a0did you think about\u00a0it?\u00a0 Do you know what they teach about salvation?&#8221; then what it does, is it gives me an open door to their beliefs.\u00a0 And then when they open the door for you,\u00a0you can give them truth instead of\u00a0kicking down the door yourself.\u00a0\u00a0 When you use humor they let down that spiritual wall that won&#8217;t let a gospel seed penetrate.\u00a0 And when they just messed up your order, they are humbled a bit and see they just might need that Saviour you are talking about.<\/p>\n<p>When the waitress brings you Diet Coke instead of Coke.\u00a0 When they forget half your order at Tim Hortons.\u00a0 When the 6 piece chicken McNuggets has 5 in the box.\u00a0 And they forgot the BBQ dipping sauce.\u00a0 And straws.<\/p>\n<p>The following\u00a0is a summary of the various ways I will try and use creation to plant some seeds of witness.\u00a0 As I stated earlier, the conversation is most effective after they just messed up your order.\u00a0 And you return with a smile and can laugh about it instead of ready to pounce on the first minimum wage earning worker you see.<\/p>\n<p>The only disclaimer is if you start witnessing every time your order gets messed up, God just might allow your order to get messed up every time!<\/p>\n<p>I will ask them, when you look at a sub, how do you know there is a sub maker?<\/p>\n<p>It works with pizzas, pianos, and Porsches as well.\u00a0 And porches.<\/p>\n<p>I will say, do you know you can prove God using a pizza?\u00a0 How they ask.\u00a0 When you look at\u00a0a pizza, how do you know there was a pizza maker?<\/p>\n<p>Silence.<\/p>\n<p>Pizzas demand a pizza maker.\u00a0 Your school teaches you that a tornado passing through a pizzeria can make a pizza by itself.\u00a0 Or if you emptied this entire restaurant and came back in a million years you would have a large cheese and pepperoni pizza all ready to go.<\/p>\n<p>Common sense says there is a pizza maker.\u00a0 Where faith kicks in, is now WHO made that pizza?<\/p>\n<p>Because it is not Pizza Hut and Dominoes and PizATalia and Sabaro that all helped out to make that pie.<\/p>\n<p>There is one pizza maker for that pizza.\u00a0 And evidence will prove who made it.\u00a0 You can look at the type of crust, the kind of pepperoni, and more importantly what it says on the box.<\/p>\n<p>And if they messed up your pizza you ordered from Pizza Hut, you wouldn&#8217;t call Dominoes to fix it.<\/p>\n<p>You only can go to the one that made your pizza to fix it.<\/p>\n<p>And there you have the gospel.\u00a0 We have deceitful hearts, burned and charred in the eyes of God.\u00a0 Hatred is murder, lust is adultery, and a lie makes us a liar.\u00a0 We need our hearts re-baked, not just add heaping and impressive \u00a0toppings of religion on our burned crust.<\/p>\n<p>Allah cannot rebake you, he is not the creator.\u00a0 Neither can a Priest, or Mary, or the JW religion or Mormonism.<\/p>\n<p>Mikes demand a Mike Maker.\u00a0 I was fearfully and wonderfully made says the Bible.\u00a0 Think of how amazing our brains\u00a0and just how complicated one living cell is.\u00a0 My problem is like yours,\u00a0I have a heart\u00a0problem. \u00a0I am still under construction, but God did a wonderful job at salvation replacing my heart of stone with a heart of flesh.\u00a0 A heart that became alive to God and wanted to worship the God who saved me.\u00a0 The Bible says <em>Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW creature. Old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The devil messed up our order but we really don&#8217;t even know what is on the menu.<\/p>\n<p><em>O Taste and See that the Lord is good.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When we get re-baked, our tastes will change.\u00a0 And our eternal destination as well.<\/p>\n<p>That is a deal you don&#8217;t want to miss.<\/p>\n<p>Are you ready to place your order?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am not trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to evangelism.
